After two-and-a-half years, Southern Oregon University’s remodelling project of McNeal Hall is now complete, donning the new title “Lithia Motors Pavilion.” We were so excited to get in on this project. SOU wanted a competitive fitness offering for student recreation. To compete, they needed a state-of-the-art fitness center, which we were happy to provide. From 3D and 2D renderings, to the execution of the planning, CFE was there through the whole process.

Their fitness offering now includes all Precor P82 touch-screen consoles, networked cardio, a Spinning studio, Discovery selectorized strength equipment and free weight circuits, UMAX weights and weight plates, and Expresso bikes.

A notable feature of the fitness center is the flooring. Being a second-floor fitness center, the flooring needed to have the right absorption, give-back, durability, and acoustics, something we were able to provide with Ecore Athletic Flooring.

Student and staff expectations and needs were met and exceeded, from the planning process to the equipment we provided and installed. This new rec center is now a crown jewel on SOU campus.
